On an extremely cold, rainy, and windy day, our team rolled into Wreck Bay for the very first visit of our medical and dental vans to the local community. Despite the weather, we were met with warmth and a steady turnout of clients in both vans. Thank you to everyone who came out to join us.

A special thank you to our dedicated team who worked so hard over the past year to get these vans up and running, to the staff who cared for the community on this first visit, and to Wreck Bay Council, who braved the elements to cook a BBQ that kept everyone warmly fed despite the cold conditions.

It wasn’t so long ago that health services for our Aboriginal community operated from a humble demountable in Nowra. Today, we’re proud to bring state-of-the-art medical and dental vans directly onto Country, meeting our people where they are and keeping health and wellbeing close to culture and community.

On this historic first visit, we were proud to celebrate a service built by mob, for mob, guided by the vision that healthcare should always feel safe, welcoming, and in our hands. It’s certainly a milestone to remember.
