Koori Youth Group

The Koori Youth Group provides a safe place for young people aged 13-18 years to access support and mentoring through a structured program that provides opportunities to participate in a group mentoring program and fitness activities. The program is designed to assist young people in setting goals, improving behaviour, health, and wellbeing. The program also offers a diversion to the negative social impacts that young Aboriginal people may face in their community and assists them in reintegrating into community and establish positive relationships with peers and mentors. Appropriately qualified staff will facilitate each session, providing information on and access to local health, welfare, and legal services, and will support participants in improving their health and wellbeing.

School Holiday Activities

During the school holidays, we run activities for children and young people that are fun, engaging, and bring everyone together. These days give kids the chance to enjoy new experiences, stay active, and spend time with friends and community in a safe and supportive environment.

Our activities can include cultural fun days, as well as outings to places like the movies, aquatic centres, museums, parks, and other local activities. Each program is a little different, but the focus is always on giving children a positive and enjoyable day during the holidays while building connection, confidence, and community
